What would shift if you finally listened?

Spiritual coaching that meets you where you actually are

Not where you think you should be. Not in some idealised future. Right here — in the tension, the longing, the quiet knowing you keep setting aside. We work with what is real.

Four movements, not four steps

Arrival — landing in honesty

We begin with a ninety-minute orientation session. No intake forms. Instead, we sit with the question that brought you here and map the landscape of your inner life as it stands today: the beliefs you carry, the patterns that repeat, the places where energy stalls. This is not diagnosis — it is witnessing.

Excavation — meeting what was buried

Over six to ten sessions we move into the terrain you have avoided. Grief, inherited narratives, spiritual bypassing, identity structures that once protected you but now confine you. We use somatic inquiry, contemplative dialogue, and symbolic work to bring unconscious material into the light without forcing catharsis.

Integration — weaving insight into daily life

Insight without embodiment is entertainment. We design micro-practices — morning thresholds, evening reviews, relational experiments — that anchor your discoveries in your body, your relationships, and your ordinary Tuesday mornings. Nothing exotic; everything specific to you.

Release — completing a cycle, not a programme

Our work has a natural ending. In the final sessions we review the arc, name what has shifted, and identify the edges you will continue to explore on your own. You leave with a personal compass document — a written map of your growth patterns, warning signs, and sources of renewal.

Modalities rooted in tradition and presence

Contemplative dialogue

Drawing from the apophatic traditions of Christian mysticism and Zen, we use structured silence and open-ended questioning to move beyond the mind's rehearsed answers. The goal is not to think better but to perceive more clearly.

Somatic inquiry

The body holds what the mind edits. Through breath-centred awareness, gentle movement, and sensation tracking, we access emotional material stored beneath conscious thought. This is especially helpful for those who intellectualise their experience.

Archetypal and symbolic work

Dreams, myths, and recurring images carry intelligence. We learn to read the symbolic language of your psyche — not through rigid interpretation, but through imaginative engagement that reveals hidden coherence in your life story.

Relational field awareness

Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation. We examine how you show up in relationship — where you collapse, where you armour, where you abandon yourself to keep peace. This modality integrates insights from attachment theory with contemplative ethics.

Nature-based practice

For clients in Montréal, we occasionally hold sessions outdoors — in Mont Royal parkland or along the canal — using the natural world as both mirror and teacher. Seasonal rhythms become metaphors for the inner cycles you are navigating.

Grounded guidance, not guru energy

The coaching practice at Spirit Growth Experts was founded on a conviction that spiritual development does not require you to leave your ordinary life behind. It asks you to inhabit it more fully — with more honesty, more tenderness, and more willingness to be changed by what you encounter.

Our lead practitioner has trained in contemplative psychotherapy, Hakomi somatic method, and Ignatian spiritual direction, and has spent over fifteen years accompanying individuals through transitions that the conventional self-help world struggles to name: the collapse of a belief system, the emergence of a calling that frightens you, the grief that arrives when you finally stop performing your life.

We work with people across spiritual traditions — and with those who claim none. What matters is not your vocabulary but your willingness to be honest about what you find when you look inward.

Anonymised case vignettes

The teacher who lost her faith

A secondary-school educator in her late thirties came to us after a sudden loss of the religious faith that had structured her entire identity. She described feeling "hollowed out." Over twelve sessions we worked with grief rituals, body-based grounding, and a slow reconstruction of meaning that did not depend on certainty.

Outcome: she returned to teaching with a new sense of vocation — rooted in presence rather than doctrine — and began a personal contemplative practice she describes as "faith without the furniture."

The entrepreneur who could not rest

A tech founder in his early forties sought coaching after a panic episode during a meditation retreat. His spiritual practice had become another performance metric. We explored the shadow side of ambition, the inherited narrative that rest equals worthlessness, and the somatic signature of his drive state.

Outcome: after eight sessions he restructured his work week around rhythmic rest, ended a business partnership that was draining him, and reported the first sustained period of inner quiet in over a decade.

The artist navigating a calling

A visual artist in her late twenties felt a persistent pull toward sacred art but feared it would alienate her secular art-world peers. We used archetypal inquiry and dream work to help her distinguish between genuine calling and spiritual inflation.

Outcome: she completed a series of large-scale works inspired by medieval iconography, exhibited them in a Montréal gallery, and reported feeling "aligned for the first time" with her creative direction.

The couple at a spiritual crossroads

Two partners — one deepening a Buddhist practice, the other increasingly agnostic — came to us when their diverging paths began to strain their relationship. We facilitated a series of joint sessions focused on relational field awareness and shared meaning-making.

Outcome: they developed a shared evening practice that honoured both perspectives and reported feeling closer than they had in years, despite (and because of) their differences.

Before you reach out

No. We work with Christians, Buddhists, secular seekers, people exploring Indigenous spirituality, and those who simply feel drawn to something they cannot yet name. The common thread is a willingness to engage honestly with your inner life. We never impose a framework.
Therapy typically focuses on symptom relief and psychological functioning. Spiritual coaching addresses questions of meaning, purpose, and the relationship between your inner life and the way you move through the world. We often work alongside a client's therapist, and we will refer you to one if clinical support seems appropriate.
Sessions run seventy-five minutes. We begin with a brief grounding practice — usually a few minutes of silence or breath awareness. Then we move into dialogue, which may include somatic check-ins, symbolic exploration, or structured reflection. We close with a practice assignment tailored to the themes that emerged. Sessions happen in person at our Montréal studio or via secure video call.
Most clients engage for eight to fourteen sessions, meeting every two weeks. Some come for a single orientation session to gain clarity on a specific question. We do not sell packages or pressure you into long commitments. The work has a natural arc, and we honour its ending.
The orientation session is $180 CAD. Ongoing sessions are $150 CAD each. We offer a sliding scale for artists, students, and those in financial hardship — reach out and we will find a way. We believe that access to meaningful guidance should not depend on income.
Absolutely. About half of our clients work with us remotely via video. The depth of the work translates well to a screen, provided you have a quiet, private space. We currently serve clients across Canada, the United States, and Western Europe.
